‘Glitter, music, sequins and of course the amazing dancing we all loved on the TV for all those weeks, so good to see the dances live and feel the energy’
The Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour is bringing all the glitz and glamour of the show to Glasgow’s OVO Hydro arena in January and tickets are available from £44.25.
The dance extravaganza is directed by the fab-u-lous Craig Revel Horwood, and promises two hours of feel-good entertainment, with everything fans love about Strictly.
In fact, folk who saw the last tour have called the Strictly live show “better than on TV” and all the drama, excitement, beautiful costumes, live musicians and singers are coming to Glasgow on Friday, January 29; Saturday, January 30, and Sunday, January 31, bringing lots of much-needed dazzle and razzmatazz to the grey days of the Scottish winter.
Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood will join Janette Manrara for the shows, following the launch show for the 2026 BBC series, audiences will revel in a new line-up of celebrities and professionals who will be taking to the dancefloor.
Head judge Shirley Ballas said: “I just love the Strictly tour and all the banter that I have with Anton and Craig! It’s the best way to start the year and I can’t wait to see our incredible fans all over the country.”
Tickets could well make a perfect Christmas present for Strictly fans and are available via strictlycomedancing.com, Ticketmaster or TicketZone.
Premium seating is priced between £126 and £146 for the Friday and Sunday shows in Glasgow but it looks like VIP packages for the Saturday show have sold out already. There are, however, a few tickets left close to the dancefloor, currently priced from £101.
Anton Du Beke said: “I love the Strictly Tour for many reasons but particularly that we get to see the audiences all around the country and they can experience how fantastic the dancers are. Sitting behind the judges’ desk is always a joy and it’s the best way to start the new year.”
Craig Revel Horwood said: “This FAB-U-LOUS live tour is great fun for all of us and gives audiences the chance to see our spectacular cast of celebrities and professional dancers in a whole new way. Dust off your dancing shoes darlings, it is not to be missed!”
One woman who took her gran to a previous show said: “Taking my nanna to watch Strictly Come Dancing after she's been watching this show since she was eight years old and is now 78, was one of the best experiences I could have given her.

“Seeing her face light up was truly magical, I've never watched an episode but thoroughly enjoyed it the lights, the fire, the dancers. The show was a an amazing experience and we have already planned on going next year.”
Strictly fans left lots of rave reviews for the last winter’s shows on the Ticketmaster website, one fan describing it as “amazing fun”, and continuing: “My fourth year running and it never disappoints!
“Glitter, music, sequins and of course the amazing dancing we all loved on the TV for all those weeks. So good to see the dances live and feel the energy... I LOVE STRICTLY!!!
JoJo said: “What a fabulous night. The show was fantastic, first class dancing, stunning costumes, lighting and stage show.”
Josie booked late for last February’s show at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow and had a word of warning, having arrived early, she said: “Great show but... tickets say start time is 12.30, arrived 11.45, doors opened 12.15 and show started at 13.30.”
It is worth remembering that on the Strictly Live Tour that the audience plays a big part in the evening. It’s down to spectators to decide which couple will lift the Glitterball Trophy on the night.
The judges are there to critique and provide their invaluable opinions on each dance routine, but they do not hold the power. This lies with the audience, who can vote using their mobile phones to decide who is the winner.
Each tour performance will host a British Sign Language interpreter, who will be displayed on two very large screens on either side of the stage so that the audiences can book tickets and sit almost anywhere in the arena to enjoy the experience with family and friends.
