What is the weather going to be like in Scotland today? Thursday's forecast as more sunshine predicted in Edinburgh and Glasgow

We’re almost at the end of the weekend, and the weather is only going to get hotter and hotter.

We’ve been treated to an incredible week of sunshine in Scotland and it’s not going to end quite yet.

Make sure you grab your sun cream and we can take a look at what the Met Office has predicted for us today.

Edinburgh

The east coast is going to be warmer, if a little cloudier today.

Cloud cover will pop in and out throughout the whole day, but temperatures will hit some astonishing highs of 14C, with very little chance of rain.

The sun is due to set today at around 9.06 pm.

Glasgow

The west coast is going to be even warmer, although still see the same level of cloud cover throughout the day.

There is little chance of rain, and temperatures will hit the dizzying heights of around 17C.

The sun is due to set around 9.10 pm.

Aberdeen

Predictably, slightly less sun in the north east.

The cloud cover will be much more comprehensive and only lift slightly around 8 pm this evening.

Temperatures will hit highs of 11C and there is little chance of rain, with the sun setting around 9.07 pm.

Na h-Elieanan Siar

A slightly greyer start today on the islands, although there is still little chance of rain.

The sun will peak through this evening around 6 pm for a few hours before sunset, which is at 9.30 pm.

It will still be warm all day, with temperatures hitting highs around 13C.
