Scotland weather: What is the weather today, which areas of Scotland will enjoy the sunshine, and how hot is it forecast to be

After a cloudy and fairly wet morning in many places across Scotland, things are set to improve in most parts of the country on Wednesday afternoon.

There will be spells of sunshine, especially across the North-west, but also scattered showers in places.

The temperature will reach around 17-18C in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen.

Come evening it will remain cloudy, especially in the South-east.

Meanwhile, Scotland’s Euro 2020 clash with England at Wembley on Friday could be hit with bands of “heavy thundery showers”.
