Addicts warned on prescription drugs

EIGHTY per cent of the 140 drug-related deaths in the north east of Scotland in a three-year period involved misused prescription medication, figures show.

Drug users in Grampian are now being warned of the dangers of misusing benzodiazepines, such as diazepam, after the statistics for 2009-2011 were studied.
