Woman ‘virtually unhurt’ after Highland loch crash

A WOMAN escaped virtually unhurt after a car crashed into a Highland loch and she managed to swim to safety.

The vehicle left the A830, three miles east of Lochailort in Lochaber, and entered the water, where it submerged beneath the water.

The 28-year-old woman, the sole occupant of the car, managed to escape through the driver’s window and then swim ashore, where she was assisted by passers-by.
