Parliament dissolved ahead of election
PARLIAMENT was formally dissolved yesterday ahead of the 6 May poll.
The proclamation, signed by the Queen, was read out on the steps of London's Royal Exchange by Colonel Geoffrey Godbold, Common Cryer and Serjeant-at-Arms at the City of London Corporation.
