Jean said: “It was a big move for me, I’ve just moved from a larger family home a couple of streets away, the house I raised my family in. I’ve downsized and absolutely love my home.

“I know the area well and I’ve family and friends nearby. Everything is so new and, with the help of my family, I’ve enjoyed making the house my home.

“ It’s a lovely street and I’m getting to know my neighbours. I’m really happy living here.”

Provost Jones added: “I wish Mrs Harper a very long, and happy future in her new home and look forward to more new developments taking shape and providing homes for everyone.”

The development was completed by Lovell Partnerships Ltd, regional managing director Stephen Profilli said: “We have been working with North Lanarkshire Council for almost 13 years and are delighted to have delivered a range of new homes for social rent in the area, including Nursery Court in Kildrum, as part of North Lanarkshire’s ongoing programme to provide new affordable housing.
