Lib Dems Danny Alexander facing defeat
Senior sources claim the SNP will win Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey from the Lib Dems, overturning one of the biggest majorities in Scotland.
Senior figure at the count in Dingwall has predicted Drew Hendry for the Nationalists as ‘walking it’.

Hide AdMr Alexander, deemed the third most powerful politician in the UK as Chancellor George Osborne’s ‘right-hand man’, won the 2010 election with 19,172 votes, 40.7%.
This was a majority of more than 8,000 over second-placed Labour, and 10,000 above the SNP.
A Lib Dem source has also said Mr Alexander had already accepted defeat, despite the declaration not expected until between 4-5am.
