Willie Carson lines up for next I’m A Celebrity …

FORMER jockey Willie Carson, comic Freddie Starr and veteran US actress Stefanie Powers are reportedly heading to Australia for the next series of I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!.

Television chiefs are said to have signed up older stars for the ITV1 show, including former Emmerdale actress Lorraine Chase, because of the past success of mature participants.

It was reported Stirling-born Mr Carson, 68, and Miss Chase, 60, have already arrived in Australia. Mr Starr, 68, was seen leaving Heathrow Airport on Monday and Hart To Hart actress Ms Powers, 69, is flying to Australia from Los Angeles.

Miss Chase said: “I had a 60th birthday back in July and I’ve been trying to find a challenge ever since. I’m A Celebrity is that challenge.”

Only Way Is Essex’s Mark Wright, 24, McFly bassist Dougie Poynter, 23, Real Hustle star Jessica-Jane Clement, 26, Coronation Street’s Antony Cotton, 36, Benidorm actress Crissy Rock, 53, and singer Sinitta, 43, have also been linked to the show.
