A body has been found in the search for missing Glasgow pensioner William Thom.

The 84-year-old, who had dementia, was reported missing on Wednesday, August 5 from the Bishopbriggs area.

William was last seen on Bath Street in the city centre.

Formal identification is yet to take place and a post mortem will take place, but the police are not treating the death as suspicious.

The body was found near Wallacewell Road around 9.15 am on Tuesday.
