Watch the hilarious moment Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar starts dancing to Uptown Funk in West Lothian

Eat your heart out, Bruno Mars! Anas Sarwar was filmed dancing to Uptown Funk on the campaign trail in West Lothian on Saturday – and he showed he has some decent moves.

The Scottish Labour leader took a short break from his campaigning to join the Saltire Burlesque Academy's open-air dance class in the car park of Livingston FC’s Tony Macaroni Arena – and delighted onlookers even gave the MSP a round of applause for his efforts.

The 38-year-old’s campaign director later shared the video on social media.

He wrote: “When you’re on a campaign visit with @AnasSarwar and there’s a dance class going on. He couldn’t resist.”

And Sarwar himself couldn't resist giving himself a pat on the back, tagging Uptown Funk singer Bruno Mars in a Twitter post that read: ‘Don’t believe me, just watch @BrunoMars’.

Sarwar, who was selected as new head of Scottish Labour in March, is travelling around the country campaigning ahead of the Scottish election on May 6.
