Watch: Christmas lights spell out NHS in magical festive tribute

A magical video shows a house covered in spectacular Christmas lights, with the letters NHS lit up in a festive tribute.

Kath and Duncan McCall, who live in the village of Dunning, near Perth, decided to add a few extra lights to their display this year to celebrate the NHS.

There are also rainbows as part of the Christmas display, which has caused delight across the neighbourhood.

Kath explained: “There are young children that live near that came up and rang the doorbell to tell us how much they loved it.

"We posted the video on the local Facebook group, it seems to have brightened peoples spirits.”

Kath is a graphic designer, so although Duncan did a lot of the lights, she was able to add her expertise to make sure the display was perfect.

She added: “The N and the H were easy to do...the S was slightly more difficult.

"We had to freehand an outline and just stapled the lights to the fence.

“We also drew the rainbow, then just added the lights.”

Kath and Duncan have a 21-year-old daughter working hard on her online university work, who was delighted with how the house turned out.

Kath laughed: “She was helping a wee bit, and made sure that we added more lights.

"I have a son who’s 16-years-old, he probably thinks its really embarrassing!!”

The family have said that the display has made them feel more Christmassy, especially after a difficult year for most people, and are hoping that their lights will help spread some joy.
