Virgin Media wifi: internet outages reported across Scotland

There was a spike of reports in Glasgow earlier this morning.

Virgin Media customers in Glasgow and Edinburgh have reported problems with their wifi since 7am this morning.

It comes as tens of thousands of Scots continue to work from home in difficult conditions as the country’s lockdown continues.

The internet provider has been suffering from wider technical issues across the UK today, with the majority of cases being reported in London and the southeast.

But other major cities have been impacted by the wifi outages, including Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, and Newcastle, according to DownDetector. https://downdetector.co.uk/status/virgin-media/

A spokesperson for Virgin Media said: “We’re aware that some customers in parts of London are experiencing an issue with their broadband.

“We are working as quickly as possible to restore services and apologise to those affected.”
