'Three, two, one...will you marry me?' - Scottish woman catches moment she proposes to partner on selfie timer

The couple caught the special moment on camera during a selfie.

A woman has spoken of the shock she experienced when her fiancee proposed to her during a selfie they took together on holiday.

Lisa Molloy, 31, a dental nurse from Paisley was wild camping around the north of Scotland when her partner, Jenna French popped the question.

The pair had hiked up to Neist Point on the Isle of Skye when Lisa decided to balance her camera on a rock and set a timer for a selfie, during which the love of her life asked her to marry her.

"After we counted down the timer three, two, one Jenna then asked ‘will you marry me?’,” Lisa said, excitement in her voice.

"I couldn’t contain myself afterwards, I was just shouting ‘what!’, and of course yes.

"What’s funny about it is the picture captures my goofy face, thinking I need to be looking at the camera when Jenna has the ring box held out to me.

"It was honestly such a shock, but I am chuffed.”

Jenna, who works in security at Dumbarton Sheriff court popped the question during the couple’s two-week holiday in the Highlands.

"Part of me was raging” Lisa added, “because I wasn’t able to get myself looking nice for the engagement photo.

"Most people usually get dressed up and look pretty glamorous for their engagement and I was looking scruffy from days of camping in the hills."

The original plan, according to Jenna, was to attempt to video the proposal, but with no one around to hold the camera at the time she had to think of a plan B.

"When Lisa balanced her phone on the rock to get a selfie, and set the timer, I thought what a perfect opportunity to do it now,” Jenna said.

"When I pulled out the ring the nerves took over and I was honestly shaking like a leaf, it felt like my legs were going to collapse from underneath me.

"I had prepared myself for Lisa to say no, so I was over the moon when she put the ring on.”
