Tessa Hartmann: Clean, classic lines for a classy lady confident enough not to need to make a statement

Nancy has the means and the figure to wear the most extravagant dresses from the most expensive designers in the world but she is a lady who goes for the classic, understated outfits every time.

The dress was safe yet stylish and showed off her fantastic figure without being too revealing. The strong button detail and dress design is in keeping with the 1970s look which is popular just now.

She is a lady who is comfortable in her own skin and does not have to dress to make a statement. She is confident and has not dressed to outshine Paul

That she doesn’t feel the need to make a fashion statement at an event which will be watched by millions of people across the world is quite revealing about the state of her mind and how she views her marriage.

She doesn’t have to attract comment and attention for wearing a really high-profile outfit, because she is happy with who she is.

She is the opposite to risque; she would not be seen in a high length split skirt. This summer she wore lots of wraps and hats and looked very demure.

She looks radiant and the white flower in her hair just finishes off the look beautifully. Everyone knows who she is, she has nothing to prove and she wears clothes she feels comfortable in, and ultimately there is nothing that makes a women more attractive than feeling comfortable in her clothes. That her dress was designed by Stella, Pauls’s daughter, is a good sign for family dynamics.

You can also tell a lot about a person by the clothes they wear and I would say that if her outfit is anything to go by her future with Paul looks rosy. She is a confident, considerate woman comfortable in her own skin.

I don’t think for a minute that she was influenced by Kate Middleton, but they both have a certain way of capturing a timeless, classic look.
