Scottish dairy has stranded HGV rescued by farmer - just days after 'superwoman' passer-by pushed its delivery truck in heavy snow

A Scottish dairy is having a difficult week as yet another HGV gets stuck in the snow and is rescued by a local farmer.

A delivery lorry for Graham’s dairy was driving along the B9029 in Aberdeenshire when it began to struggle in the snow.

A tractor from a nearby farm was able to help move it along with assistance from Police Scotland.

Police from the North East tweeted: “Where would we be without our local farmers?

“George helped rescue a stranded HGV on the B9029 with the touch of a plough and set of chains!

“Thank you for your invaluble assistance!!”

Graham’s Dairy branded her a “superwoman” and rewarded her a year’s free supply of dairy products to thank her for her kindness.

She explained: “"A load of people were trying to push a car up the hill when I noticed the Graham’s truck coming behind it.

"Its front wheels were spinning, and it was stuck from all the snow.

"My neighbour appeared, so I asked her to watch the kids and the dog while I pushed it.

"Eventually it made it safely to the top.”

Graham’s seems to have been taking hit after hit with Storm Darcy battering all of Scotland as they tweeted: "Extreme, record breaking cold weather is unfortunately causing milk tops to pop off glass bottles.

"Not seen this since Mr Graham was a boy delivering milk door to door!”

The Met Office has predicted that the cold snap will end after this weekend.
