She said: “I have done work in the past helping out with different things. I done some charity work with the homeless on Christmas Day so that has inspired me to carry out more work through the year.

“I wasn’t sure what to do as there are so many options. I thought the best way to do this is to use our shop premises and provide a relaxing treatment that would be of great benefit to the customers.”

“The response has been amazing really happy. I have a few customers that have already obtained a doctor’s letter and booked in so I expect this to be busy and a great success.”

The first clinic will be running on 7th March and will continue on a regular basis depending on the interest they receive.

The salon have asked all clients who are interested to obtain a letter from their GP stating that attending the clinic won’t interfere with their ongoing treatment.

The original Facebook post has received over 400 likes and nearly 400 shares with members of the public leaving kind messages and offers to help.

One woman wrote: “What a lovely idea. I have just gone through treatment for cervical cancer and when in the Beatson was offered a massage, it was so relaxing and really made a difference to be pampered and not think about what I was going through. Well done.”
