Pictures: Gunners salute Queen at Edinburgh Castle
THE 60th anniversary of the Queen’s coronation was today marked with a 21-gun salute at Edinburgh Castle.
Gunners from 7 (Sphinx) Commando Battery Royal Artillery fired the salute. The gunners are based at RM Condor outside Arbroath.
The salute is the latest in a series of events to mark the anniversary of the coronation. The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh will attend a celebration service tomorrow at Westminster Abbey to mark the occasion.
