My life in clothes: Grace Woodward

What’s the last piece of clothing you bought? I’ve just made a special order from next season’s collection by designer Michael van der Hamm.

Best ever bargain? An Alexander McQueen spring/summer 2009 wood print jacket from the catwalk collection. I got it in the McQueen sample sale. Priceless!

Who has great style? Queen Elizabeth 1, DJ and model Leigh Lezark, and my cat Ujiii.

Name your favourite high street shop. Whistles.

What are you addicted to buying? Addicted? That’s a bit strong! I do love a scratch card though.

Any fashion disasters you’d care to tell us about? So, so many. I have a whole section called The Wrong Outfit in the stage show I’m writing, if you want to share in the laughter (yours) and the tears (mine) then you will have to come along.

What’s your favourite item in your wardrobe? A Boudicca jumpsuit. It’s like an all-in-one tux, with a beautiful silk-gazar botanical print on the front, and black crepe on the back. It makes me feel like a cross between Angie and David Bowie.

Woodward supports Marks & Spencer’s new Shwopping campaign (www.marksandspencer.com/shwopping). All M&S clothing stores will now accept unwanted clothing of any brand. Through Oxfam, the clothes will be resold, reused or recycled.
