Lewis Capaldi: West Lothian singer donates iconic ‘America’s sweetheart’ outfit to raise vital funds for children’s hospice charity

The West Lothian chart sensation famously posed in a USA-themed onesie and gold sunglasses to celebrate his single Someone You Loved entering the US Billboard singles chart in 2019.
Now, the 24-year-old from Whitburn has donated his garish garb to Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) – a charity that provides the only hospice services in Scotland for children and young people with life-shortening conditions.

Hide AdThe outfit proved an instant hit with fans when the singer posed in it on his personal Instagram page, attracting over 618,000 likes and more than 16,000 comments.
At the time, Capaldi said: “I think we can all agree this means I’m well on my way to becoming America’s sweetheart and I for one am over the moon.”

The items are available on internet auction site Ebay, with bids having already reached £255 as of Tuesday lunchtime.
