Jenners Christmas Tree: Festive icon won't be making an appearance this year due to Covid
The city centre department store confirmed that their tree would not be up this year but are hopeful to continue the tradition in the future.
In previous years, the store has housed a 40ft Christmas tree, which in itself has become a famous Capital attraction.
The tree is the latest in a line of festive casualties that the city has seen due to Covid.
This was due to the latest advice from public health experts.
Last year, 2.6 million people attended the market, and it’s cancellation has been seen as a blow to local retailers and hospitality venues.
The Scottish Government are expected to make an announcement on Monday on restrictions to the public over the festive period.
