James Thomson: Body found in Moray in search for missing Burghead man

Police Scotland has confirmed that a body has been found following searches in Moray for James Thomson.

Formal identification is yet to take place but Mr Thomson’s family have been made aware of the discovery.

Mr Thomson, 25, was last seen in the Young Street area of Burghead, Moray, at around 11pm on Saturday, May 1.

Police officers and Coastguard teams were searching Burghead and the surrounding areas on Sunday as concerns grew for his well-being.

Officers have said that there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.
