The actor Sir Sean Connery, best known for his iconic portrayal of James Bond, has died at the age of 90.The Edinburgh-born star was the first to bring the role of Ian Fleming's book series to the big screen and appeared in seven of the cinematic spy thrillers (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again).Sir Sean's acting career spanned seven decades and also included films like The Hunt for Red October, Highlander, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and The Rock.
