‘Edinburgh’ by Scottish singer-songwriter tops official charts
A song called “Edinburgh” has reached #1 in Scotland after just a week in the charts.
It fended off competition from big hitters like Lady Gaga, The Weekend, and Harry Styles.

Hide AdScottish singer-songwriter Joshua Grant took to social media to speak of his delight at the news.
In a hand-written note which he posted a photo of on Facebook, the Edinburgh-born 18-year-old told fans: “Thanks to all of you, I have achieved everything I ever dreamt of in terms of releasing ‘Edinburgh’.
“From the very bottom of my heart thank you to everyone who streamed, bought or shared the tune,” he said, “Through word of mouth alone and the kindness of everyone from my friends, the Facebook Mums and the fans of the best football team we got a #1 single.
“To the radio DJs: Jim, Stuart, Chris, Adam, Alan, Grant and the whole BBL Afternoon Show team; thank you for getting the track out there!
