Clan on lookout for volunteers in Banchory to support people impacted by cancer

The charity is currently seeking volunteers to offer its vital listening and support service which enables people impacted by a diagnosis to speak to someone about their cancer journey.
There are further opportunities for those looking to get involved in fundraising events and gardening, with plans already in place to develop a green space for the Banchory centre.

Claire Mechie, Clan’s volunteer manager, said: “Volunteers play a crucial role in everything we do at Clan and we are indebted to them.
"Their dedication enables us to provide first class support services to people affected by cancer across the north-east.
“We’d urge anyone who is interested in getting involved to come along to our open day at our Banchory centre where they can find out more about the charity and the different roles we have on offer.”

Claire added: “Demand for our volunteer service has grown and we work hard to ensure the benefits of volunteering can be felt by the charity and the individual who is giving their time.
“We provide extensive training to enable our volunteers to fulfil their roles confidently and effectively.
Volunteering can also provide work experience, new friendships and the opportunity to develop new skills which can enrich your working and personal life.”
