Buckingham Palace statement: Royal Family says race issues ‘taken very seriously’ after Meghan and Harry interview

Race issues raised by Harry and Meghan in an interview are “concerning” and will be addressed “privately” by the family, an official statement from Buckingham Palace reveals.

In a statement on behalf of the Queen, Buckingham Palace said: "The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan

"The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning.

"While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.

"Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members."

The news comes after the Sussexes’ interview with Oprah Winfrey was aired on British TV last night.
