Boris Johnson’s ex-lover Jennifer Arcuri has told the Sunday Mirror that the Prime Minister is ‘never going to change’

In an interview with the Sunday Mirror she said: “It does start with his eyes, and every one of his actions shows us exactly who he is. Let’s stop pretending this is somebody else hiding behind.

“This is who he is and it’s about time we recognised that. It breaks my heart because it’s not like I’m here to throw him under the bus.”

Businesswoman Jennifer Arcuri spoke for the first time about how she fell in love with the Prime Minister during a four-year affair, while he was Mayor of London.

The American businesswoman told the paper they first slept together hours before the opening of the 2012 London Paralympics.

She revealed they met up once a week at the height of the affair and that she “loved him”.

Arcuri said the affair lasted from 2012 to 2016 when Boris Johnson was married to now ex-wife Marina Wheeler, mother of their four children.

In 2019, Johnson became the first Prime Minister to move in to Number 10 with a girlfriend, former Conservative head of communications Carrie Symonds who, at 33, is 23 years his junior and now mother to their son Wilfred.

A biographer once described Johnson, who ruffles his dishevelled hair ahead of appearances as “one of the great flatterers of our times,” something Jennifer Arcuri echoes in her interview.

Johnson married Oxford University girlfriend Allegra Mostyn-Owen in 1987 when they were both 23, however she described their wedding day as “the end of the relationship, rather than the beginning”.

Their marriage lasted just five years and she agreed to a divorce in April 1993. The two remained on good terms with Allegra saying: “He’s a better ex than husband.”

Just 12 days later Johnson wed Marina Wheeler, who was already pregnant with their first child, Lara Lettice, who was born five weeks later.

The couple had three more children – Milo Arthur, Cassia Peaches and Theodore Apollo, all who are now in their 20s.

Barrister Marina and Johnson met at the European School in Brussels in the 1970s when his father Stanley worked at the European Commission.

Their marriage lasted 25 years before they parted in 2018.

While Johnson was editor at Spectator magazine, he is reported to have had a four-year relationship with journalist and staff member Petronella Wyatt, 52.

At the same time he was seeing another journalist, Anna Fazackerley, according to reports which she neither confirmed nor denied.

Arcuri said: “The truth is, with men – this isn’t to excuse them – you have to know the beast.

“This is who he is. You’re never going to change him, you’re never going to make him want what you want just because you want it.”
