Argyle Street: Body of man found in Glasgow's Yorkhill area

The body of a man has been found on Argyle street in Glasgows West end in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Emergency services attended the scene in Glasgow’s Yorkhill on Tuesday.

They have confirmed that the body is that of a 56-year-old man who was found on Argyle Street near Haugh Road.

A post mortem will take place, but the police are not currently treating this death as suspicious.

They will be submitting a report of the incident to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4.10 am on Tuesday, 13 April, 2021, the body of a 56-year-old man was found on Argyle Street, near Haugh Road, Glasgow.

"At this time, his death does not appear suspicious, however, a post mortem will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of his death.

"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. Officers remain at the scene."
