IN HIS assertion that the new Forth crossing should be called the Third Forth Bridge, Iain Murray (Letters, 9 May) surely missed the open goal that is the Third Forth Firth Bridge. It all adds up.

Regarding Iain Murray’s letter, surely, when the Kincardine crossing is included, the new road bridge will be the Fourth Forth Bridge.
