Babbling Brooke

I would like to remind  Gillan Glover (Features, 11 April) that she was not “paraphrasing Rupert Brooke” when she wrote “magnificently unprepared for the long littleness of life”.

It was in fact written by his friend Frances Cornford (née Darwin) about Brooke himself.
