It’s one of the biggest television hits of recent years and it’s back...with a spooky twist.

Season two of comedy game show Last One Laughing UK was released on Amazon Prime Video earlier this year, with another 10 comedians challenged to stifle a laugh for six hours under the watchful eyes of Jimmy Carr and Roisin Conaty.

The first season was a huge hit, quickly becoming the most-streamed show on the platform, with viewers enjoying a dramatic showdown between Bob Mortimer and Richard Ayoade.

Defending champ Mortimer returned for the second series but could only come third as David Mitchell came out top over Aussie comedian Sam Campbell in a laughless final.

Series three won’t be arriving on our television screens until next year, but there’s a treat in store for fans, with a Halloween Special arriving tomorrow.

But if you’re planning to binge watch the whole series in a oner, be warned - because it’s going to be released in two parts.

Here’s what you need to know.

When is the Last One Laughing UK Halloween Special being released?

The first three episodes will be released on Friday, October 23.

How many episodes will there be in the Last One Laughing UK Halloween Special?

Normally there are six episodes in a series but, with seven rather than 10 contestants, there will only be four episodes in the Halloween Special.

When is the final episode of the Last One Laughing UK Halloween Special released?

You’ll have to wait a whole week before finding out who wins the series - with the final dropping on Friday, October 30.

What time are episodes of Last One Laughing UK Halloween Special released?

New shows on Amazon Prime Video tend to drop at 1am on the day of release so, if you can’t wait, you can enjoy the series with your breakfast.

What are the rules of Last One Laughing UK?

The rules of the show really couldn’t be simpler. 10 famous comedians are locked in a room together for six hours and challenged not to laugh or smile. One smile or laugh sees them given a yellow card, while a second sees them ejected from the game. The last one remaining wins the game (hence the name).

What are the new rules in the Last One Laughing UK Halloween Special?

Aside from not being allowed to laugh, in this series contestants will also not be allowed to scream - and there will be plenty of scary suprises to test their mettle.

Meet all seven comedians trying desperately not to giggle or scream. They’ll be guided through the show by host Jimmy Carr and his assistant Roisin Conaty.
