Whether you are a Glasgow resident, or visiting Scotland’s largest city as an activist or delegate, here are some of the events that will be taking place in and on the fringes of the Climate Conference.
Crucially, none of these need a lanyard or security clearance to attend – although some do require a ticket, often available for free.

9. Spend an afternoon or evening in the CCA
Glasgow's Centre for Contemporary Arts have a large number of events to mark COP26 throughout the conference, including art exhibitions, films, talks, workshops and performances. Highlights include New York's Reverend Billy & The Choir Of Stop Shopping who will bring their joyful, radical music to Glasgow on November 11 and 12, and Burnt Out, a dance-theatre work about our changing climate on Monday, November 8. 10. Take a trip out of the city for the Galoshans Festival
Less than 20 miles from Glasgow City Centre, Greenock's Galoshans Festival is embracing an environmental theme for COP26 and will be running throughout the conference until November 12. With the tagline 'Creatively Tackling Climate Change in Inverclyde', there's a selection of street theatre, workshops, storytelling, exhibitions, walks, music, kids activities, workshops and community arts.
