Diver with bends airlifted from loch

A DIVER suffering from the bends was airlifted from a Highland loch yesterday.

The man, aged 20, was diving in Loch Broom, near Ullapool, and reported decompression sickness on surfacing. The Stornoway coastguard helicopter flew him to the hyperbaric unit at Dunstaffnage in Argyll to recover.
