Ms Xu had gone to Glasgow’s Central Station with her boyfriend on the day of her disappearance to say goodbye before he boarded the train.

Police examined CCTV footage from the station in their successful bid to trace her whereabouts.

Footage reportedly showed Ms Xu in the main concourse of the station before heading to the lower level.

It is believed she was then seen on Sauchiehall Street.
