Woman, 27, charged as almost £5,000 worth of drugs seized in Galashiels

Police Scotland seized a large quantity of Class B drugs while conducting a routine patrol on the A7 at Galashiels on Monday, February, 8, 2021.

27-year-old woman charged as almost £5,000 worth of drugs seized in Galashiels.

The drugs had an approximate value of £4,700 and were seized while officers were undertaking a routine stop of a vehicle.

As a result of the recovery, a 27-year-old female was charged with drug related offences and released to appear at Selkirk Sheriff Court at a later date.

PC Wood, said “Removing illegal substances from our communities remains a priority for us.

“I would encourage anyone who has information on the use or sale of illegal substances to contact us”
