Urgent appeal for missing Scottish boy, 14, who could be sleeping rough

The missing teenager could be sleeping outside.

A 14-year-old boy has been reported missing.

Dalton Lyons was last seen at about 6am yesterday leaving his home address in Kirkcaldy.

The boy has not been seen since and there are growing concerns for his welfare.

He is 5ft, has short brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a blue hoody and white or black trainers and carrying a rucksack when he went missing.

It is understood he regularly visits coastal path areas and it’s possible Dalton is sleeping outside.

Police have issued an urgent appeal.

A police spokesman said: “Police in Kirkcaldy are appealing for the public's help in their efforts to trace missing 14-year-old boy Dalton Lyons.

“Dalton was believed to be last seen at approximately 6am on May 6 leaving his home address in Kirkcaldy.

“He is known to frequent the local coastal path areas and it is possible that Dalton may be sleeping outdoors.

“Anyone with information that could assist police in tracing Dalton is asked to contact 101 and quote reference number PS-20200506-0598.”
