Two missing girls from Fife traced safe and well

The girls were thought to have boarded a train to Edinburgh together.

Two girls who went missing from their home in Dalgety Bay, Fife, this morning have been found “safe and well”, officers say.

Police had issued an urgent public appeal to find the pair, aged 14 and 9, who left their home in the town at 9:30am.

They were thought to have boarded a train together at Aberdour at 12:13pm, arriving at Waverley Station in Edinburgh and leaving in the direction of Market Street at 12:50pm.

Police thanked everyone who shared their appeal.
