Two due in court over New Year's Day attack outside Highland town

Two men are due to appear in court tomorrow in connection with a New Year’s Day attack outside a Highland town which left two people in hospital.

The assault took place inside a property in the Pitgrudy area, just north of Dornoch in Sutherland, on Friday and resulted in at least one of the victims suffering lacerations.

Two men - aged 30 and 21 - were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment and were later released.

Police have confirmed that two men - aged 34 and 21 - have been charged in connection with the incident. They are due to appear in court on Tuesday.
