Toy store hijinks costs Falkirk teen £225

A teenager would not stop his in store game of basketball at Smyths Toys with his pals and shoved a member of staff who tried to end the shenanigans.

Mohammed Kiche (18) did not want the game, which took place in the aisles of the shop, to end and reacted violently when he was told to put the ball down and stop playing.

Appearing at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday, Kiche, 103A Grahams Road, Falkirk, had pled guilty to the assault he committed in the Central Retail Park toy store on November 15 last year.

Procurator fiscal depute Graham McLachlan said: “It was 6.15pm and the complainer was working at the store. The accused was seen to enter with five other friends and started mucking about in the display areas with a basketball.

“The complainer told them to stop it and the accused stepped forward and pushes the man on the body. It was captured on CCTV.”

Lynn Swan, defence solicitor, said: “He accepts he was involved in this incident and he did push this man.”

Sheriff John Mundy fined Kiche £225 which he will pay back at a rate of £10 per week.
