Tillicoultry:Report of racial abuse and assault during road rage incident after white van reported for dangerous driving

A dangerous driving incident was followed by assault and racial abuse in Tillicoultry.

Police are appealing for information on the incident which took place around 2.30pm on Saturday, April 3 on the A91 Eastbound between Alva and Tillicoultry.

A white panel van was reported to have been driving dangerously, overtaking a red Reliant Robin and a cyclist.

This dangerous manoeuvre caused the vehicles that were travelling westbound to take evasive action to avoid a crash.

An assault took place between the drivers of these vehicles a while after in Stonyacre, during which a victim was racially abused.

In a statement on social media, Police Scotland said: “We are appealing for witnesses after a report of road rage/dangerous driving, on Saturday 3rd April."

We are appealing to anyone who witnessed any of these incidents to call 101, quote incident number 2910 of the 3rd April 2021 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
