Three men in hospital following car crash which saw Scottish road closed for over six hours
The incident saw the A8 Edinburgh Road, eastbound near Stepps Road, closed for six-and-a-half hours on Saturday night.
A 23-year-old man driving a black Peugeot 206 and two passengers, men aged 18 and 19, were taken to hospital following the crash, which took place around 5.55pm.
Two of the men remain in a stable condition at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, while the other, whose condition is serious, is being treated at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The driver was arrested in connection with road traffic offences and released pending further inquiries.
Sergeant Roy McCarney said: “I would urge anyone who saw the vehicle, either prior to the collision, or who witnessed the incident and have not already spoken to police to contact us.
Police are also keen to speak to anyone who was driving in the are or recording via a dashcam at the time.”
