Three children killed and woman in critical condition after Paisley flat fire
Three children have died after a fire broke out in a flat in Paisley, Police Scotland have confirmed.
A 39-year-old woman is also in critical condition at Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.
The blaze broke out in an upper cottage flat in Renfrew Road, Paisley, at around 9pm on Friday, June 19.
The three children, Fiona Gibson aged 12, Alexander James Gibson aged eight, and Philip Gibson aged five, were taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but died a short time after admission.
Officers said a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
A police spokesperson said: “An investigation is underway to establish the exact circumstances of this incident.
“Anyone who has information that could assist our enquiries should contact police via telephone number 101 quoting incident number 3669 of 19 June 2020.”
