Teenage girl punched and robbed in park

A TEENAGE girl was robbed by two boys while riding a bike through Glasgow Green, police have said.

Strathclyde Police is appealing for witnesses following the incident on Saturday evening.

The 15-year-old girl was near Dalton at about 7pm, with a male friend, when she was approached by two boys.

One of the boys demanded that she hand over her bike, before punching her in the face. He stole the bike, making off in the direction of Gorbals.

The girl was left very shaken, but did not require medical attention.

Detective Constable Dougie Slater said: “Early inquiries have revealed that there were a few females nearby when the robbery took place. I would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the attack, and I would like to speak to anyone who may have been offered the bike for sale.”
