Police in CCTV appeal following assault in Clydebank

Police are appealing for information following a serious assault in the Hawthorn Street area of Clydebank.

A 38-year-old man was walking along Hawthorn Street towards the library around 7.30pm on Thursday, 10 February, when he was approached by a group of male youths.

He sustained a serious arm injury and is being treated in hospital.Detective Constable Imran Abuzar, of Clydebank CID, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have seen what happened or now those involved to get in touch.“If you have private CCTV or where driving in the area at the time and have dash-cam footage that might help with our investigation then please call us.”Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3562 of Thursday, 10 February, 2022.

Police are also urging those who wish to make a call anonymously to do so through the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
