Police arrest two men in connection with death in Ayrshire

POLICE are treating the death of a man in Girvan, South Ayrshire, as murder.

The body of John Kiltie, 44, was found when officers arrived in Park Road, Girvan, South Ayrshire, shortly after 11am on Saturday.

Two men aged 18 and 24 have been arrested in connection with the death.

Emergency services had been called to the street after reports of a disturbance.

After a post-mortem examination was carried out, police confirmed Mr Kiltie’s death is being treated as murder.

They added that “extensive inquiries” were under way and a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal.
