Police appealing for information after serious assault by gang of teens

A 22-year-old man was attacked on Govan Road in Glasgow

Police in Glasgow are appealing for information after a serious assault on Govan Road.

A 22-year-old man was assaulted by a group of teens near the junction with Broomloan Road, and was subsequently taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

The incident happened around 11pm on Tuesday, May 26.

The suspects are described as a group of three or four men in their late teens, all dressed in dark clothing.

Detective Constable Alastair Taylor of Greater Glasgow CID said: “We are appealing for anyone with any information which may help with our enquiries and who has not already spoken to us to get in touch.

“We are particularly keen to speak to a dog walker who may have been speaking to the victim prior to him being approached by the suspects. We would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen the victim or the suspects prior to or after the incident to get in touch.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 4315 of 26 May, 2020.
