Police in Midlothian are appealing for witnesses following a high-value housebreaking in Bonnyrigg.

The incident happened sometime between 2.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday 13th July at an address in Bairds Way.

After returning home, the occupants found their property had been entered and several thousands of pounds of jewellery had been stolen along with cash and electronic goods.

A white BMW 1 Series car with registration SM14 WPF was also taken and officers are continuing with their inquiries to trace those responsible and retrieve the stolen goods.

Constable Kris Burns said: “This housebreaking has left the homeowners devastated and we are pursuing various line of inquiry to trace the suspects.

“We would ask that anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity in Bairds Way on Wednesday 13th July contacts police immediately.

“In addition, anyone who sees the stolen BMW should also come forward so we can recover it and progress this investigation.”
