Plea to identify badly injured man found in Dundee street

POLICE are seeking help from members of the public to identify a man found in a street with life-threatening injuries.

The man, thought to be aged between 50 and 60, was discovered in Charleston Drive, Dundee, at about 6.30pm on Monday.

Witnesses described seeing him fall over several times before medical aid was requested for him.

The unidentified man was taken to the city’s Ninewells Hospital, where his condition is said to be serious.

Police Scotland said the circumstances surrounding his injuries do not seem to be suspicious.

Officers have issued a description of the man in a bid to find out who he is.

He is described as being of medium build and was wearing a dark jacket and a black “tammy” with a red band around it.

Anyone who may have seen him in the area, or who thinks they know who he might be, is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 2868.
