Pair charged with trying to steal ATMs

Two men, who allegedly tried to steal two cash machines from outside a supermarket using a forklift vehicle, have been charged by police.

The men, aged 41 and 36, from County Durham, are accused of attempting to steal the machines from the Asda store in Longside Road, Peterhead, at about 1:30am on Friday, 10 June. A report will be sent to the procurator-fiscal.
