Missing teenager, 15, could be in Edinburgh

The boy has been missing since Thursday evening.

A teenage boy reported missing is understood to be in the Edinburgh or Musselburgh area.

Jay Ferguson was last seen at Drumgelloch train station in Airdrie around 7.10pm on Thursday.

Officers said it is believed the young man has travelled to Musselburgh via Edinburgh on the train.

Jay has been described as 5ft 6in tall and was last seen wearing a black hooded top, black jogging bottoms and black trainers. He also had a silver bicycle.

Sergeant Steven Brown, based at Cumbernauld, said: "We're appealing for the public's help to find Jay.

"Jay has gone missing before but it's important we make sure he's okay and I would ask anyone who has seen him to contact us.

“Anyone with any information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3102 of 23 July.”
